Winthrop is a mortgage banking firm that is affiliated with HUD lenders that provide mortgages on commercial and residential properties. Our affiliates directly originate securitizable commercial first mortgages on qualified properties through relationships with life insurance companies, conduits, banks and HUD insurance programs. They are located throughout the United States and have held FHA, FNMA and other licenses since approximately1988. They strive to provide the best financing programs available and the best pricing through competitive programs with investors and lenders.

Our affiliates are now concentrating on the FHA insured loans for only multifamily and health care facilities.  This includes assisted living, nursing homes, hospitals and other health care real estate.These mortgages are 100% insured so this allows us to issue GNMA securities which we sell loan by loan.  This means we can't run out of money.

Their philosophy is to structure transactions so as to process loans for known parameters in the capital markets. They pride themselves in having secured commitments for all our borrowers once due diligence is completed. This track record comes from basic real estate knowledge (knowing up front what can be expected), restructuring deals "on the fly" and solving problems as they arise.
